#46, A Dancer

By Faces of Rajkot, June 17, 2015

I got curious. The beats of music pulled me towards a crowd. A guy was in the middle of that crowd – dancing, floating, moon walking and what not! “I love dancing and attention” was written all over his face. I think, it would be one of the best live performances I have ever witnessed. He loves his art form, and, that showed.

He stopped and bowed. The crowd scattered. He walked up to the corner where he had put his bag. While he was taking out his water bottle, I walked up to him.

“That was splendid!” I exclaimed.

“Then do vote for me when I qualify the DID auditions,” he said with a wink.

I found myself saying, “Indeed!”, with a laugh, “So is this some kind of pre-vote collection campaign?”

“Arre…no! Actually, I’m a dancer at a dance academy owned by Kuldeep Rathod. I perform every Sunday in order to promote our academy.” He held out a brochure.

“That’s innovative,” I said, taking the brochure, “Would you guys be able to teach me to moonwalk like Michael Jackson?”

“Oh! Certainly! He’s my idol! I could do that right now if you promise to at least visit our academy, once.”
