#48 Karsan Potter

By Faces of Rajkot, June 19, 2015

I always say, “Follow the career that makes you happy!” Now, it was this day when you don’t want to go out but your mom wants you to, either to buy kitchen supplies or to pay the bills. I pulled the plug on the latter when I convinced my parents to shift to online payments, but there’s still the former, which haunts me almost daily. But whenever I do go out that way, I always carry my camera. “Well, life is full of interesting people!”
This day, I was out buying a waterpot.
You know, I have tried my hands at pottery in the past, but, the pot didn’t come out that well. So, in a manner of speaking, I ended up commenting, “It must take years of practice to make them so fine!”
“Just a little practice. Not years! I worked as a farm labourer few years back. But then self-respect brought me to Rajkot. It has just been two years since I rebooted my life as a potter.”
What I learnt? It’s never late to reboot! If you can’t, try refresh!
