I am from a conservative joint family that doesn’t expect females to work outside, but studies until marriage was permitted. Today, they are proud of me though I don’t make “Phulka Rotis” for them.
I used to participate in competitions like elocution, debate, skit, mime, ad making, so my mind was clear to choose mass communication as my field of studies. I got my first shot when a well-established event manager offered me a live anchoring project and the journey started as an Anchor or a show host.
In this 2 years of journey, I worked with Sony Sab TV, Zee Khana Khazana, GSTV, Star Plus and also with celebrities like Raveena Tondon, Amrita Rao , Mahima Chaudhary , Gurdeep Daler Mehandi , Ripudaman Handa and the list goes on…
I have completed 333 events and still counting.
It was never an easy start with a typical Rajkotian family because mine is not a 9 to 5 job, I have to go for evening events, outstations for weddings as nowadays people spend a lot to make their wedding memorable and talk of the town. To make my family understand this was not an easy. But, now they realized that a working woman diversifies the family income streams. In the ear of expensive living, and frequent layoffs, a working woman can support the roller coaster of the family. Moreover, a working woman is more exposed to the outside world and brings back more information and knowledge to the family where is the best investment opportunity or a better place to dine in even, she can add quality to the life.
With this stage of Faces of Rajkot, I would like to spread the world to the beautiful ladies of the Rajkot that just have a dream, do something, domestic help can be outsourced but, do not forget you have an identity to prove or even better, you have a life to achieve and live queen size.
